SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

** Scholarship applications are no longer being accepted for 2024 **
Please check back in the Fall of 2024 for the 2025 Scholarship Opportunity

Each Spring, the Colorado Society of Mayflower Descendants is proud to award a $1,620 scholarship to an eligible Colorado high school senior. Students may attend an accredited institution out-of-state and should have been accepted for the upcoming academic year. The 2024 opportunity has closed; please check back in the Fall for details on the 2025 Scholarship Opportunity.

Applicants must be residents of the State of Colorado and citizens of the United States. Criteria for selection include: a written essay on the topic given in the application, evidence of activities, leadership, and honors received, GPA and Class Rank, a letter of recommendation and Mayflower ancestry if pertinent (not required). The most important part of the application is the essay, however all parts will be graded, and it is the total score that will determine the final winners. If any portion of the required materials are missing, the application will be disqualified.

The full amount of the scholarship is paid directly to the college, university or other institution where the student is enrolled with instructions that the amounts be applied to each of that year’s semesters evenly. This is a one-time scholarship, paid the summer before the student’s first semester.
